In recognition of May 5th being declared "Hand Hygiene Day" by the World Health Organization, an event was held on May 15, 2024, to remind all hospital staff of the importance of hand hygiene.

The event began with opening speeches by Dr. Tuğçe ŞİMŞEK BOZOK, Chair of the Infection Control Committee, and Infection Control Nurse Aylin ERENKUŞ. It continued with a performance of "Turkish Folk Music."

As part of the event, the Infection Control Committee organized a slogan competition on the theme of "Hand Hygiene," which was won by the Psychiatry Department with the slogan “Let the Hygiene Game Begin, Our Hands are the Best Players.”
